The Audi TT is a compact sports car produced by the German manufacturer Audi. First introduced in 1998, the TT became known for its distinctive, minimalist design and rounded exterior styling. It was offered in both coupe and roadster (convertible) body styles.
The Audi TT typically featured a front-engine layout with either front-wheel drive or Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Engine options included turbocharged four-cylinder units, with higher-performance variants such as the TTS and TT RS delivering increased power and sport-tuned components.
Over three generations, the TT evolved in performance, safety, and digital technology while retaining its compact proportions and driver-focused character. Later models incorporated fully digital instrument displays and advanced driver-assistance systems. Production concluded in the early 2020s, marking the end of the TT’s run as one of Audi’s most recognizable sports car models.
