About this Cad block

Designed by:
Poul Henningsen

PH 80 Floor Lamp by Louis Poulsen is a floor-standing member of Poul Henningsen's three-shade family, representing a later evolution of the system Henningsen first developed from 1925–26. The PH 80 designation reflects the 80° shade angle — a shallower, more horizontal shade arrangement that gives this floor lamp a distinctly wide, flat profile compared to earlier PH floor lamps. This geometry produces a broad, low-angle light distribution that emphasises horizontal surfaces and the lower portion of surrounding walls, creating a particularly warm, enveloping ambient effect. The metal shades, available in a range of finishes, have an architectural restraint that suits contemporary interiors without sacrificing the lamp's Danish modernist heritage.

The PH 80's flat, open shade profile makes it an assertive floor lamp with considerable visual presence — not a lamp that disappears, but one that confidently occupies its position in the room. It is well suited as a primary living-room floor lamp beside a sofa or armchair, as an accent light in a spacious hallway or lobby, or in hospitality reception areas where a sculptural, high-quality floor lamp is called for. The wide shade also makes it effective at illuminating the immediate floor and lower-wall zone around it, creating the soft layered lighting effects that characterise all PH luminaires.

Interior designers and architects specifying PH floor lighting for residential, hotel and commercial lobby projects will find the PH 80 Floor DWG drawing and CAD block essential for floor-plan layout and furniture-lighting coordination. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM documentation and IFC-compatible project delivery. A distinctive and well-established specification for projects where PH floor lighting with a strong architectural presence is the brief.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and IFC file.
