PK62 is a coffee table designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1968 as part of a series of tables created to complement his collection of lounge chairs and sofas. The table was developed in direct connection with the PK20 and PK24 chairs, and its proportions and formal character are calibrated to work in natural dialogue with those pieces — a considered approach to furniture design as a coherent spatial system rather than a collection of independent objects.
The PK62 features a satin-brushed stainless steel base and a tabletop available in slate, marble, or granite — a material combination that brings together the industrial precision of polished steel with the geological richness of natural stone. Each stone surface is unique in its veining and tonal character, giving every PK62 a particular material identity within the consistent formal framework of Kjærholm's design.
The PK62 is well suited to residential living rooms where it can be specified alongside the PK20 or PK24 lounge chairs as an integrated seating arrangement. Its material quality and design heritage also make it an appropriate specification for high-specification hospitality and commercial lounge environments where the coherence of the furniture selection contributes to the overall quality of the space.
