Tamoto 180 is a king-size bed frame designed by Shane Schneck for HAY — the largest format in the Tamoto bed series, suited to king sleeping configurations and designed to provide the spatial presence and material quality appropriate to a master bedroom's primary and most spatially dominant piece of furniture. The Tamoto 180 applies the series' characteristic material honesty and formal resolution to the king-size format, producing a frame whose proportions are calibrated for the generous scale of a king sleeping surface without becoming visually heavy or formally dominant in a way that crowds the surrounding bedroom space.

Shane Schneck's craft-informed design approach is fully expressed in the Tamoto at the 180cm format, where the frame's proportions and the quality of its material and construction are most completely tested at the largest scale of the series. The available finish options allow the Tamoto 180 to be adapted to the full range of bedroom interior directions. The frame's construction ensures the structural integrity at this larger scale is consistent with the standards maintained across all four Tamoto width formats, giving specifiers confidence in the quality of the design at every size in the series.

The Tamoto 180 is well suited to residential master bedrooms where a king-size bed frame of genuine material quality and considered design character is required as the primary spatial anchor of the room. Its formal consistency with the other Tamoto formats allows it to anchor the master bedroom of a home or hospitality project where smaller Tamoto formats are specified in other rooms, providing a coherent and quality-consistent approach to bed frame specification across different sleeping configurations within the same property.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing and 3D model.
