AAS 33 Low is the counter-height version of HAY's About A Stool series, designed by Hee Welling. It shares the same formal identity as the high version — a curved backrest, an upholstered seat, and elegant wooden legs — adapted to a lower seat height suited to standard counter and bar situations where the high version would be proportionally excessive. The design maintains the About A collection's combination of natural material warmth and refined contemporary character in a format that is practically calibrated for everyday counter-height use.

The upholstered seat is available in a wide range of fabric options within HAY's collection, and the wooden legs can be specified in different finishes to match or complement other pieces from the About A range or wider interior scheme. The curved backrest provides meaningful support for the lower back, improving seated comfort at counter height and distinguishing the AAS 33 from stools without back support.

The AAS 33 Low is well suited to residential kitchen settings, home bars, and counter-height dining areas, as well as to hospitality bars, café environments, and corporate settings where a design-quality counter stool with a considered natural material character is required. Like the high version, it works effectively as a single piece or in multiples where a row of consistent, design-led counter seating is the brief.
