The CH44 Lounge Chair was designed by Hans J. The chair's most distinctive feature is the joint between the front legs and armrests, executed with the precision and character that is a hallmark of Wegner's best work.

The armrests slope upward towards the rear legs, becoming progressively more slender as they rise, elegantly reinforcing the vertical joint and giving the chair a sense of upward movement despite its low, settled stance. Grooves on the top of the rear legs allow a back cushion to be hung in place without mechanical fixings — a small detail that reflects Wegner's broader interest in finding structural solutions that are also visually resolved.
