DLM Side Table is designed by Thomas Bentzen for HAY, its name — Don't Leave Me — reflecting the table's character as a portable, mobile companion piece that follows its user from room to room. The design incorporates a convenient handle integrated into the table structure, allowing the metal table to be carried easily between settings without requiring it to be disassembled or repositioned awkwardly. Despite its lightweight and portable construction, three slanted legs provide excellent structural stability when the table is in use.
The DLM is available in two sizes — the standard DLM and the larger DLM XL — giving it flexibility across different surface area requirements and spatial contexts. The metal construction is consistent across both sizes, and the range of finish options allows the table to be specified in different colour and material directions suited to different residential and professional interiors. The handle detail is both practically functional and formally distinctive — a design decision that gives the DLM a clear visual identity within the category of the small side table.
The DLM is well suited to residential living rooms, bedside settings, and home office environments as a portable side table that can be positioned and repositioned without effort. Its handle feature and lightweight construction also make it an effective specification for hospitality settings where furniture needs to be moved regularly, and its clean metal form works across a range of contemporary interior contexts. Available in two sizes to suit different surface area and spatial requirements.
Available as a 2D DWG drawing and 3D model.
