Marselis Floor Lamp is designed for HAY by design duo Kaschkasch, inspired by the bent tubing found around local street signs — a reference that connects the lamp's formal language to the functional precision of everyday urban infrastructure while giving it a distinctive arched silhouette that is immediately recognisable. The lamp features a tilting circular disc light source that can be adjusted to create both indirect ambient light and direct task-oriented light from the same fixture, giving the Marselis a practical flexibility unusual in a floor lamp format.
The lamp body is crafted from powder-coated die-cast aluminium and steel, and the light source is an integrated LED — a combination of materials and technology that balances durability and energy efficiency with the formal quality appropriate to a HAY product. The arched silhouette of the Marselis is shared with the table lamp version of the design, creating a family identity that allows the two pieces to work together in the same space with visual coherence. The adjustable disc mechanism allows fine-tuning of the light direction without disrupting the lamp's clean profile.
The Marselis Floor Lamp is well suited to residential living rooms and reading areas where a floor lamp with both ambient and directional lighting capability is required. Its adjustable circular disc makes it particularly appropriate for settings where the lamp needs to serve different lighting purposes at different times, and its architectural arched form gives it a strong visual presence that makes it effective as a design accent as well as a functional light source. Available in HAY's colour range.
Available as a 2D DWG drawing and 3D model.
