About this Cad block

Designed by:
Anne Boysen

Moonsetter Floor Lamp by Louis Poulsen was created by Danish architect Anne Boysen as the winning entry in the Next Danish Design Classic competition, broadcast on national Danish television in 2020. The jury praised its simple geometry, clean lines and timeless restraint. Boysen's concept fuses the circle, square and cylinder into a sculptural configuration that straddles the boundary between functional luminaire and art object. Following the competition, Anne Boysen partnered with Louis Poulsen to develop the design into a limited numbered edition — first introduced in Denmark in 2021 in runs of 100 sequentially engraved pieces per edition. The material palette is characteristically Nordic: polished and matte metal surfaces that shift in character with the surrounding light.

The floor lamp's most distinctive feature is a 360° rotating disc finished differently on each face — one side mirror-polished, the other matte — allowing the user to sculpt how light is reflected around the room and how the room itself is reflected back within the lamp. The result is a kinetic, participatory object: the act of positioning the disc changes both the quality of illumination and the spatial atmosphere. Moonsetter's impactful scale and commanding vertical presence create a zone within a zone, making it equally at home as the anchor piece in an open-plan living space or a statement corner in a residential lobby.

For architects and interior designers working at the intersection of art and specification, this CAD block and DWG drawing offer precise geometry for spatial planning and lighting layout. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM workflows and IFC-compliant coordination, making the Moonsetter straightforward to specify in high-end residential, hospitality and cultural interior projects where statement lighting is central to the design narrative.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and IFC file.
