Chester Chair by Plus Halle was designed by Kåre Frandsen, a Danish designer whose work explores the dialogue between material warmth and structural clarity. The Chester is a lounge chair of deliberate, considered character — its name references a traditional upholstered chair typology but the design reinterprets that reference through a contemporary Scandinavian lens: clean lines, a resolved base structure and an upholstered seat and back that provide comfort without the decorative excess associated with historical Chester-style seating. The result is a chair that brings warmth and a degree of formal gravity to the spaces it occupies, suited to lounge and reception environments that require presence without ostentation.

The Chester Chair's proportions place it at the boundary between a lounge chair and a more upright occasional chair — the back height and seat depth provide genuine relaxation potential while the overall form remains architecturally composed enough to work in contract office lounges, hotel lobby seating arrangements and premium residential living rooms. The upholstery options — available in fabric and leather — allow the chair to adapt to both corporate and domestic interior palettes, and the base detailing gives the piece a clean contact with the floor that complements rather than competes with the upholstered body above.

Interior architects and designers specifying the Chester Chair for corporate reception, hospitality and residential lounge environments will find the DWG drawing and CAD block useful for furniture placement, clearance coordination and interior elevation documentation. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM-accurate spatial planning. A well-resolved specification for any project requiring a lounge chair with a considered, materially warm Danish design character suitable for both contract and residential contexts.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model and Revit file.
