Arne Jacobsen

FH3605 is an office desk designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and produced by Fritz Hansen as part of its archive of significant mid-century design. The desk was conceived to create an informal yet refined working environment — a space that feels considered and calm rather than institutional, reflecting Jacobsen's broader interest in the design of complete interior environments in which furniture, architecture, and spatial quality are understood as a unified whole.

The reissued design is available in two material combinations: walnut veneer or black-coloured ash for the tabletop, with chromed steel or black powder-coated steel legs. An optional document drawer in solid wood complements the tabletop material and adds a practical storage element without disrupting the desk's clean horizontal profile. The combination of warm timber and refined metal detailing is characteristic of the material approach Jacobsen applied across his furniture work.

The FH3605 is well suited to home offices, private studies, and executive workspace settings where a desk of genuine design heritage and material quality is appropriate. Its modest scale and refined aesthetic also make it a practical choice for studio and architectural office environments where visual restraint is valued.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and ArchiCAD file.
