About this Cad block

Designed by:
nendo – Oki Sato

NJP Table Lamp by Louis Poulsen was designed by Oki Sato of Japanese design studio Nendo, launched in 2015 as a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic architect's task lamp. Sato's design philosophy for the NJP family centres on honesty of construction: the arm joints are visible, the springs are left exposed and contribute to the lamp's decorative expression, and the rear shade opening toward the arm is both functional — enabling stepless adjustment of the organic head — and an integral part of the overall aesthetic. The result is a table lamp that makes no attempt to disguise how it works, and is better for it. Materials are powder-coated aluminium and steel in a restrained tonal range.

Two joints on the NJP Table arm give it a wide positional range for a table lamp, allowing the user to direct light precisely to a task surface, book or work area. The lamp is at home on a desk, bedside table or credenza, and its slim profile and visual restraint mean it does not dominate the surface it occupies. The organic head's stepless tilt range means it can adapt from a focused task-light position to a softer, more diffuse ambient one simply by rotating the shade.

For architects and interior designers specifying desk and table lighting, the NJP Table DWG drawing and CAD block support accurate furniture layout and task-lighting placement in residential, home-office and hospitality contexts. The 3D model and Revit family enable BIM documentation and IFC-compliant project coordination. A precise specification resource for any project where a refined, flexible and technically accomplished table lamp is required.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and IFC file.
