Jaime Hayon

Plenum JH1002 is a sofa from the Plenum workspace seating system designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen. The Plenum system was conceived for the modern professional environment in which the spatial and functional boundaries between collaboration, concentration, and relaxation are increasingly fluid. The JH1002 sofa addresses the social and collaborative dimension of that brief, providing a seating configuration suited to informal meetings, shared work, and relaxed professional exchange.

The one-and-a-half-seater sofa has been designed with the specific ergonomic and spatial requirements of a professional seating context in mind, and optional integrated functionalities including power plugs, USB ports, and table attachments allow it to be configured as a semi-enclosed collaborative workspace unit. The curved high-back form provides a degree of acoustic and visual enclosure that supports focused conversation in open-plan environments without requiring full architectural separation.

The Plenum JH1002 is well suited to corporate office environments, co-working spaces, hotel lobbies, and airport lounges where a high-quality, functional lounge seating solution that supports both informal work and relaxation is required. Fritz Hansen's production standards ensure the system maintains its quality and integrity in high-use commercial environments over extended periods.

The Plenum system represents one of the more complete responses to the contemporary workplace brief available in the Fritz Hansen range.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and ArchiCAD file.
