About this Cad block

Designed by:

The Enigma series was designed by Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama for Louis Poulsen and includes the Enigma 425, 545 and 825 models. Launched in 2003, the Enigma 425 was the first step in a reinterpretation of the traditional chandelier concept. This lamp consists of thin layers of concentric circles and floating shades held up by ultra-thin wires, creating a transparent and light expression. The name Enigma means "mystery" and refers to the floating shades that appear to float when viewed from a distance. In 2005, the Enigma 825 was introduced as a larger version of the Enigma 425, and in 2007, the Enigma 545 was added as another extension to the series. Both of these models are based on the same design idea of floating shades held by ultra-thin wires, maintaining the light and transparent look. The design of all three lamps harmonizes with Louis Poulsen's product philosophy, combining Japanese elegance with Scandinavian simplicity. In 2018, the original aluminum version of the lamps was supplemented with a new black version. This addition expands the decorative possibilities and shapes of the design and spreads a calm and atmospheric light.
