N02 Dining Chair is designed by Nendo and Oki Sato for Fritz Hansen as part of the N02 Recycle series — a collection made from upcycled plastic household waste that is itself designed to be recycled again at the end of its useful life. The chair represents Fritz Hansen's engagement with more sustainable production methods without compromising the design quality and material precision expected of the brand.

The distinctive crease in the chair's back — drawn from the image of a folded piece of paper in the designer's studio — serves a double function: it gives the chair its characteristic visual identity while providing additional structural support for the upper and lower back. Seven nature-inspired colours and multiple base options make the N02 adaptable to a wide range of dining environments and interior colour schemes.
