PH 2/1 Stem Fitting by Louis Poulsen is the floor-standing and wall-stem variant of Poul Henningsen's smallest three-shade lamp, applying the same logarithmic spiral geometry and glare-elimination principle as the pendant in a wall-bracket mounted configuration. Henningsen developed the three-shade system from 1925–26 in partnership with Louis Poulsen, and the stem-fitting format was part of the original family — designed to bring PH's controlled, shadow-free light to positions where a pendant suspension was architecturally unavailable. The fitting maintains the same three nested shades and warm light quality of the pendant while introducing a wall-mount arm as the primary structural element.
The PH 2/1 Stem Fitting's compact shade diameter and wall-arm configuration make it particularly effective in stairwells, hallways, bedside positions and corridors — spaces where ceiling height or plan restrictions preclude pendant installation. The stem positions the shade at an intermediate height, directing soft downward and laterally diffused light at face and table level. The characteristic PH warm glow and glare-free light quality are fully retained regardless of the mounting configuration.
Interior architects and lighting designers specifying wall-mounted PH luminaires for residential, hospitality or boutique commercial projects will find the PH 2/1 Stem Fitting DWG drawing and CAD block essential for wall placement, mounting height and reach coordination. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM documentation and IFC-compatible project coordination. A reliable specification for projects where PH light quality is required in a wall-mounted, non-pendant format.
Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and IFC file.
