About this Cad block

Designed by:
Poul Henningsen

PH 3½-3 Pendant by Louis Poulsen is a glass-shade pendant in Poul Henningsen's three-shade family. Like the glass table lamp of similar proportions, the 3½-3 uses white opal glass shades to add translucency to Henningsen's carefully calculated shade geometry — the outer shade is 3½ units, the inner shade 3 — allowing soft light to radiate through the shade surfaces as well as downward, creating a pendant that glows rather than directs. The white opal glass softens the overall silhouette and makes the lamp read as luminous from a distance, contributing to ambient illumination of the ceiling as well as the surface below.

The 3½-3 pendant sits between the compact 2/1 family and the larger 4-series in scale, making it a natural choice for a single pendant over a dining table in a domestic space, as a pair of pendants flanking a bed, or in a cluster above a kitchen island. The opal glass gives the lamp a softer, more domestic character than the metal-shade variants, and it integrates naturally with warm interior palettes. Despite its overtly decorative quality, the shade geometry remains entirely functional: glare-free from every angle, warm light directed precisely where Henningsen calculated it should go.

Architects and interior designers will find the PH 3½-3 Pendant DWG drawing and CAD block useful for ceiling layout, pendant drop specification and lighting coordination. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM placement and IFC documentation for coordinated project delivery. A refined specification choice for residential and hospitality projects where warm glass PH pendants are specified.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model and Revit file.
