LP Grand 580 Suspended is the pendant version of the LP Grand 580 — a mid-large format in Christian Flindt's LP Grand series for Louis Poulsen, suspended from the ceiling to create a defined spatial element within the room. The 580mm diameter circular disc, suspended at a designed drop height, functions simultaneously as a primary ambient light source and as a significant architectural ceiling element — a pendant of enough scale to contribute meaningfully to the spatial composition of the room while remaining proportionate to a wide range of interior settings from generous residential dining rooms to hotel restaurant environments.

The suspended format gives the LP Grand 580's circular disc a stronger presence and a more deliberate spatial relationship with the surfaces and activities below it compared to the flush ceiling version. The drop height can be calibrated to the room's ceiling height and the intended use — lower over a dining table for a more intimate dining light effect, higher in a reception or lounge area for broader ambient coverage. Christian Flindt's LP Grand series is designed to perform consistently across this range of hanging positions, and Louis Poulsen's suspension hardware ensures the 580mm disc hangs level and stable at any specified drop height.
