About this Cad block

Designed by:
Poul Henningsen

PH 3/2 Pendant by Louis Poulsen is one of the core mid-scale members of Poul Henningsen's three-shade family, a system Henningsen developed from 1925–26 and spent his lifetime refining in partnership with Louis Poulsen. The 3/2 designation identifies the shade ratio: three tiers of concentric shades, each precisely proportioned according to a logarithmic spiral, working in concert to eliminate glare, redirect light and produce the soft, warm illumination without hard shadows that characterises all PH luminaires. Around a thousand variants have been produced over the decades; the 3/2 is one of the most widely specified in residential and hospitality contexts.

At this shade diameter the PH 3/2 Pendant occupies a versatile middle position in the family — large enough to be the primary pendant over a dining table or in a living room, compact enough for a kitchen, bedroom or side table position. The metal-shade version has a clean, restrained presence that has proved consistently relevant across multiple decades of interior design. The three-shade geometry ensures an even, glare-free light distribution that flatters both the space and its occupants.

For architects and interior designers, the PH 3/2 Pendant DWG drawing and CAD block are useful for pendant placement, ceiling coordination and lighting-layout documentation. The 3D model and Revit family support BIM-compliant project delivery and IFC documentation for full coordination. A fundamental specification resource for any project where authentic PH lighting — one of architecture's most enduring and trusted design choices — is specified.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model, Revit file and IFC file.
