About this Cad block

Designed by:
Poul Henningsen

PH 4/3 Pendant by Louis Poulsen is a metal-shade pendant in Poul Henningsen's three-shade family, first introduced in 1966 as one of the later additions to a system Henningsen had been developing and refining since 1925–26. The 4/3 designation — outer shade 4 units, next shade 3 — positions this pendant slightly larger than the 3/2 family and gives it a broader, flatter shade silhouette and a wider downward light distribution. Like all PH pendants, the shade geometry is based on a logarithmic spiral with the light source centre at the focal point, ensuring complete glare elimination from any viewing angle and the characteristic soft, warm PH light quality.

The PH 4/3's broader profile and flatter shade stack give it a slightly more horizontal presence than the taller PH pendants, making it particularly well suited to rooms with lower ceiling heights where a more compact pendant vertical envelope is important. It is an effective choice over dining tables and kitchen islands in domestic settings, and works equally well in restaurant and hospitality dining environments. The metal-shade version in matte or gloss finishes integrates with both contemporary and classic interior palettes.

For architects and interior designers, the PH 4/3 Pendant DWG drawing and CAD block support accurate pendant placement, ceiling clearance coordination and lighting-layout documentation. The 3D model and Revit family enable BIM-accurate specification and IFC-compatible project delivery. A versatile and well-established specification resource for residential and hospitality lighting projects.

Available as a 2D DWG drawing, 3D model and Revit file.
